La Constancia is a company that bets on diverse talent through its diversity and inclusion policy, which is applied in a recruitment process of human talent. The initiative is part of the purpose of “Unir a la Gente por un Mundo Mejor”.

"Política de Diversidad & Inclusión” " seeks to attract, hire, retain, develop and promote the best talent, regardless of gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, nationality, religion, socioeconomic status.

Part of the big bets of La Constancia is to become an inclusive and diverse workspace, with equal opportunities and through the policy they are working to generate greater support for women.

The policy is implemented through the following axes: workforce, workplace, market and communities.

Likewise, the company has set as one of its goals to attract the best human talent, regardless of gender, sexual orientation, nationality, religion or socioeconomic status.

Through the policy implemented by the company, we aim to achieve the following:

  • We strive to create an inclusive workplace with equal opportunities.
  • Our company must be as diverse as the communities we serve
  • We dream bigger and better when we are together. We think like owners so everyone in the company is responsible for D&I.

"One of those tasks is to promote the participation of women in different positions in the workplace. In fact, La Constancia is led by a woman", commented Paola Bondy, president of La Constancia and Cervecería Hondureña.

In addition, the inclusivity policy includes several benefits for employees, among which the following are highlighted:

  • Medical insurance with beneficiary for same-sex couples
  • Maternity and paternity leave for the birth or adoption of a child (1 additional month for mothers and 7 additional days for fathers).
  • Marriage leave for LGBTQ+ couples who legally marry outside the country (3 days of paid leave).

In addition, the company also undertook in 2019 the “Mujeres al Volante” program through which they seek to empower women in forklift driving, in which this initiative has graduated 22 women.

Currently, the company has in the operational area 9% of the women working in the company are women and the rest are men. In total, La Constancia generates 1,431 jobs in El Salvador, while in Honduras there are 3,500.

Moreover, this initiative includes policies against sexual harassment, domestic violence, discrimination, and is concerned that in each salary range, both men and women earn the same.
