Pablo del Valle will replace Marcelo Gorrini, who has led the region since 2015 and has been appointed Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) for Latin America playing a key role in protecting and driving the Citi franchise across the Latin American region with responsibility for driving progress in all areas related to regional governance, risk and control in the business.

In the Caribbean and Central America, Pablo del Valle will lead Citi's franchise, with a focus on building and strengthening relationships and business management with corporate clients, public sector companies and regulators, ensuring the highest levels of quality, ethics and commitment in the management of business and solutions.

Pablo has held several key responsibilities within Citi, including most recently as CCO for Citi Colombia and Guatemala; Banking, Capital Markets and Advisory for Central America, as well as several other relevant positions since 2000, when he joined Citi Guatemala as Director of Corporate Finance, a position in which he developed a successful Investment Banking and Structured Finance practice.

From a transactional standpoint, Pablo has led and participated in a wide range of structured finance solutions relevant to the energy, infrastructure, consumer brands, agro-industrial, financial services and public sector industries. In that regard, he has acquired significant experience in transactional banking, treasury, structured finance, debt capital markets, and mergers and acquisitions, among other areas. From a managerial standpoint, Pablo has demonstrated experience and success in various banking segments, such as corporate, commercial and consumer banking.

The bank's experience, trajectory and knowledge will undoubtedly contribute to the bank's goal of deepening its portfolio of services, as well as serving the needs of global and local clients in the region.
