Crisis in Panama could affect salvadoran imports

Due to the social crisis in Panama, members of the industrial sectors of that country have seen their exports limited, as reported by the international media, which indicate that due to the closing of portfolios their merchandise cannot go to the rest of Central America.

The minister of Labor Rolando Castro presented in a press conference the results of the inspections in the construction and private security sectors and new actions to protect municipal workers who, according to the official, are not recognized their labor rights due to the contracts they sign with the municipalities.

Fuel prices register decrease

The Dirección General de Energía, Hidrocarburos y Minas has announced the new fuel prices which have reported a decrease for the next few days.

As part of the VIII Energy Week, Daniel Alvarez, head of Dirección General de Energía Hidrocarburos y Minas (DGEHM),held a bilateral meeting with Francesco La Camera, Director General of IRENA (International Renewable Energy Agency).

Under Secretary of International Trade, Marisa Lago, concluded her visit to El Salvador by participating in a joint statement with the Minister of Economy, Maria Luisa Hayem, to highlight the shared commitment to continue working towards an appropriate regulatory environment to attract foreign direct investment.

El Salvador surprises JP Morgan with its growth

The US bank J.P. Morgan published a document where it points out that El Salvador has less and less risk of default, so it no longer depends on good economic conditions to meet its tax obligations.

Chinese fertilizer donation is tax exempt

With 70 votes in favor, the Legislative Assembly approved an exoneration to the Ministerio de Agricultura y Ganadería, so that it may exonerate the payment of taxes on the donation of 10,000 tons of fertilizers and 7,500 tons of cereals from the People's Republic of China.
