INVEST in El Salvador participated in the second edition of the “El Salvador’s Export Offerings and Investment Opportunities” Trade Forum, held in the province of Chiriquí, Panama, with the aim of promoting El Salvador’s export offerings and presenting the investment opportunities the country offers in strategic sectors.
The event was organized by the Embassy of El Salvador in Panama in coordination with the Cámara de Comercio, Industrias, Agricultura y Turismo de Chiriquí (CAMCHI), as part of the economic diplomacy strategy aimed at strengthening trade relations between the two countries.
The keynote presentation was delivered by Javier Varela, Director of Exports at INVEST in El Salvador, who outlined to Panamanian business leaders the country’s competitive advantages, available trade opportunities, and investment potential across various productive sectors.
During the forum, strategic sectors such as agribusiness, food and beverages, construction, hospitality, restaurants, and retail were highlighted sectors that offer significant opportunities for growth and business development between Panama and El Salvador.

The event also facilitated connections between Salvadoran business leaders and representatives of Panama’s private sector, providing opportunities for networking and potential business partnerships.
One of the main objectives was to position El Salvador as a strategic, competitive, and reliable partner in Central America, as well as to encourage the participation of Salvadoran companies in the upcoming 2026 International Business Roundtable organized by CAMCHI.
The event took on special significance as it was held in Chiriquí, one of Panama’s most economically dynamic regions and considered a major hub for agro-industrial, tourism, and commercial development.
El Salvador’s ambassador to Panama, Zoraida Panameño, emphasized that the country continues to make progress in its economic transformation and to foster a favorable environment for investment and business development.

“El Salvador is a country that is moving forward with determination in its process of economic transformation and international outreach”, the diplomat said.
The event was attended by members of the CAMCHI Board of Directors, local officials, and representatives from Panama’s business and institutional sectors, who expressed interest in strengthening trade relations and following up on the opportunities identified during the event.
Through initiatives like this, INVEST in El Salvador and the salvadoran diplomatic mission aim to open new markets, attract investment, and strengthen the presence of salvadoran companies in the Central American region.
