Propane gas prices experience new increases starting this month. The 25 pound gas drum, which is the most consumed by the population, increases $0.98 ctvo. so its price is US$13.08 without subsidy and US$5.04 with subsidy and for the 20 pound gas drum its price is US$10.54 and US$2.50 with subsidy, according to the Ministerio de Economía (MINEC).
Meanwhile, 35 pound gas cylinders will have a unit cost of US$18.24 with an increase of US$1.38, and those of 10 pounds will cost US$5.40 with an increase of $0.39.
The maximum retail price of the cylinder is:
- 10 pounds will be US$5.40.
- 20 pounds will be US$10.54.
- 25 pounds will be US$13.08.
- 35 pounds will be US$18.24.
According to MINEC, the subsidy received by the salvadoran population for this month is US$8.04.
