Consumers paid more for restaurant, hotel and food use in june

According to the Oficina Nacional de Estadísticas y Censos (ONEC), as of june the data compiled by the institution shows in the Consumer Price Index (CPI), that people paid more for the use of hotels, restaurants, food, alcoholic beverages and tobacco.

That is to say that with respect to the previous month it showed a variation of 0.24%, to the same period of 2022 it was 3.78% and the accumulated variation was 1.10%.

For the positive monthly variations of greater magnitude are mainly observed the increases in air tickets with 0.74%, mill service 0.64%, fruits, vegetables 0.35%; alcoholic beverages 0.33% and dental and laboratory services 0.14%.

The five main products that contributed to the monthly increase in the IPC were air travel, new pickup truck, raw beans and housing rental.

The General IPC is 3.78% for the sixth month of the year with 3.98 percentage points lower than the one registered in june 2022 which was 7.76%.
