25 lb. Liquefied Gas Drum to go up US$0.15 ctvs for the month of september

The Ministry of Economy informed about the new increase of liquefied gas that will go up from +$0.21ctvs to +$0.12 in the presentations of 35, 25, 20 and 10 pounds

Compared to the previous period, the average variations for the month of august in the international prices of derivatives: butane and propane were +4.30% and +2.01%, respectively.

The 25 pound drum of liquefied gas most used in the country will have a selling price of US$14.04 but with the subsidy it will cost US$6.00 with a variation of +$0.15ctvs.

In addition, the 35-pound presentation of liquefied gas with subsidy will cost: US$11.53, the 20-pound: US$6.00, the 10-pound: US$5.78.

At the end of each month the Ministry of Economy indicates which the variations of the prices of liquefied gas are, for salvadorans who have a subsidy granted by the central government will be US$8.04 in order not to affect people.

The prices of liquefied propane gas have risen due to different international factors as: Expectations for the meeting of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC), and allies for new production policies. Hurricane Ida hits the oil industry in the Gulf of Mexico and the United States. Gas production is halted due to the shutdown of oil platforms.
