
The Escuela Nacional de Agricultura (ENA), highlighted the main results achieved over the past seven years in agricultural development. During this period, the institution stated that support for producers has been strengthened through technical assistance, the incorporation of technology, and programs aimed at increasing national production.
According to the MAG, one of the main actions has been the distribution of the Agricultural Bonus, a benefit that has reached more than 500,000 small-scale producers with the goal of strengthening crop production and contributing to the country’s food security.
The institution also reported that it has provided technical assistance to 150,000 producers, offering them specialized advice to improve agricultural practices, increase productivity, and optimize crop management.

As part of the sector’s modernization strategy, the MAG noted that it currently has 16 Agrocentros distributed nationwide, facilitating access to inputs, services, and technical support for farmers.
Among the initiatives implemented to modernize agriculture, the MAG highlighted the incorporation of agricultural drones, a tool that reduces production costs, optimizes input application, and makes agricultural work more efficient.
It also reported that more than 500 producers have been trained in the use of new technologies and practices focused on climate change mitigation and adaptation, with the aim of strengthening the sector’s resilience to climate variations.

In the livestock sector, the Ministry indicated that it has developed programs to improve livestock genetics and provide technical assistance to farmers, to increase productivity and production quality.
The MAG also highlighted the modernization and expansion of the academic offerings at the Escuela Nacional de Agricultura (ENA), as part of its efforts to train professionals with enhanced technical skills to meet the needs of the agricultural sector.
According to the institution, these initiatives are part of a strategy focused on modernizing salvadoran agriculture, increasing national production, and strengthening the development of the agricultural and livestock sector through innovation, training, and ongoing support for producers.
