President Nayib Bukele assured salvadorans that all services offered at new Rosales will be free of charge, without the need for medical insurance, memberships, co-payments, or any subsequent payments for care received.
In a public address, the president emphasized that patients would have free access to consultations, medications, medical procedures, specialized treatments, surgeries, and even care for complex illnesses such as cancer. “Medications. Procedures. Treatments. Surgeries. Even cancer care. Free for every patient. You just must show up at the door”, he said.
Bukele also emphasized that the hospital’s operation will be financed with the same resources from taxes already paid by salvadorans, ruling out the creation of new taxes to support the project. “Financed by the same taxes that salvadorans were already paying, not by higher taxes”, he affirmed.

The president also noted that the quality of medical services offered at the new hospital will be on par with the best international hospitals. Referring to the surgical procedures performed at the facility, he stated that “the surgeries are as advanced as those performed in leading hospitals worldwide”, highlighting the level of technology and equipment incorporated into the project.
The new Hospital Rosales is part of the government’s efforts to modernize the national health network and expand access to specialized medical services for the population. The infrastructure features modern areas, state-of-the-art equipment, and spaces designed to treat a wide variety of diseases and perform highly complex procedures.

According to authorities, the hospital will strengthen the capacity of the public health system, reduce waiting times, and bring specialized treatments closer to thousands of salvadorans who previously had to face long waiting lists or seek alternatives outside the public system.
The government has presented the free provision of services as one of the fundamental pillars of the project, with the goal of ensuring that access to healthcare does not depend on a person’s economic means. Under this model, any citizen can receive specialized medical care simply by going to the hospital, without incurring direct costs for the services received.
