The Dirección General de Energia. Hidrocarburos y Minas ,informed that a fuel price verification device was developed in the municipalities of Puerto El Triunfo, Jiquilisco, Santa Maria, Ereguayquin and Tecoluca in the department of Usulután and in the municipality of Candelaria de La Frontera in the department of Santa Ana.

The President of the Defensoría del Consumidor (DC), Ricardo Salazar, makes a tour in different gas stations in the western part of the country, to verify the temporary elimination of a percentage of taxes in the price of fuels.

The Defensoría del Consumidor in coordination with the Ministry of Finance activated this tuesday an inspection plan in gas stations located in the coastal strip and lakes of the country, to verify compliance with the exclusion of payment of the contribution for the Fondo de Conservación Vial (FOVIAL), in the purchase of fuel for boats with engines dedicated to extractive fishing.

The Ministerio de Economía (MINEC) through the Directorate of Hydrocarbons and Mines, activated a plan to verify the quality, quantity and prices of fuels at gas stations in the country, while the Defensoría del Consumidor (DC) will probe prices of food products and bottled water in convenience stores of these service stations nationwide.
