Businesswoman Leticia Escobar was elected president of the Cámara de Comercio e Industria de El Salvador (Camarasal) for the period 2024 - 2025, during the General Assembly of Members of the association.

Escobar is the second woman to serve as president in the 108 years of existence of the guild, and takes the reins of the institution replacing Jorge Hasbún, who was in office for the period 2020-2023.

The new president has extensive experience in the business sector and has participated in Camarasal's volunteer work, where she was a member of the Businesswomen's Committee, from where she later became a member of the guild's Board of Directors.
