The Ministry of Labor placed hundreds of salvadorans in the eastern part of the country in formal jobs, as part of the program “Firmas por el Empleo”, focused this time in the department of San Miguel. The initiative seeks to generate job opportunities in different regions of the country, bringing decent job offers to the population.

“We are bringing sources of employment to the whole country, Firmas por el Empleo is a reality”, said the Minister of Labor, Rolando Castro, during the event. Dozens of people signed their labor contracts at the event, and immediately began their new working stage with formal jobs and with all the benefits of law.
Castro emphasized that this type of action not only facilitates incorporation into the labor market, but also generates a direct impact on the quality of life of the families benefited. “We were able to place hundreds of people in jobs, who will now be able to support their homes”, he said.

The program has been designed to offer a streamlined and effective process, in which citizens arrive, sign their contracts, and go directly to their new jobs. This efficiency has been key to the program’s success, according to authorities.
“Firmas por el Empleo” is part of a broader government strategy to reduce unemployment and energize the economy, with a special focus on the neediest areas of the country. The Ministry of Labor plans to continue expanding this program to other departments in the coming months.
