The Comisión Nacional de la Micro y Pequeña Empresa (CONAMYPE), in conjunction with the Fondo Especial de los Recursos provenientes de la Privatización de ANTEL (FANTEL), granted a total of US$64,000 to eight micro and small enterprises (MYPE) led by women. This initiative seeks to strengthen the productive capacities and foster the business growth of these entrepreneurs, promoting their competitiveness and sustainability in the market.
This financial contribution is a concrete action in support of Objective #3 of the Plan Cuscatlán, which focuses on improving the commercial connectivity of micro and small producers. This objective seeks to strengthen the technical and financial capacities of enterprises, while taking advantage of the opportunities offered by the regional economic environment. In this way, CONAMYPE and FANTEL work together to create a positive impact on the women-led business sector.
The funds were delivered to companies located in the departments of Santa Ana, San Salvador and La Libertad. These companies operate in key sectors such as tourism, textiles and apparel, areas with great potential for economic development. This support not only contributes to strengthening these industries, but also generates employment and promotes local development in these communities.
The beneficiaries of the program emphasized the importance of this type of initiative, which not only represents economic support, but also an opportunity to improve their production processes and reach new markets. This strategic alliance seeks to empower women entrepreneurs, promoting their role as the driving force behind the country’s economic and social development.
With this type of projects, CONAMYPE and FANTEL reaffirm their commitment to promote MSEs led by women, promoting gender equity and strengthening the productive sectors. This joint effort reflects the importance of generating concrete opportunities that allow women entrepreneurs to grow and actively contribute to the sustainable development of El Salvador.
