El Salvador's country risk drops an average of 11 points between may and july 2023
According to the Country Situation 2023 report by the Universidad Francisco Gavidia (UFG),El Salvador has shown a drop of 11 points in its Country Risk rating in Latin America, that is, it fell from 13.28 points in may 2023 to 9.35 points as of july 31, 2023.

According to a report prepared by the Universidad Francisco Gavidia (UFG), El Salvador's Emerging Markets Bond Indicator (EMBI) after falling to 5.38 in April 2021, rose to 15.71 in january 2022 (+1,033 basis points in 9 months), in view of changes in the Corte Suprema de Justicia (CSJ), Fiscalía General de la República (FGR), the announcement of free circulation of Bitcoin and uncertainty in the negotiation the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
Economic expert points out that country risk has had a historic increase as of november 2021
The Economics expert of the Fundación Salvadoreña para el Desarrollo Económico y Social (FUSADES), Álvaro Trigueros, informed through his Twitter account about the historical increase of country risk (EMBI) that El Salvador has registered, with respect to the average of Latin America.
