The Comisión Nacional de la Micro y Pequeña Empresa (CONAMYPE) is promoting business connections between entrepreneurs and companies in the tourism sector so that more local businesses can become suppliers for hotels, restaurants, and other lodging and food service establishments.
The initiative is being developed through CREAA, a platform that aims to connect micro and small enterprises (MSMEs) with potential buyers and open new business opportunities. On this occasion, around 30 entrepreneurs participated in a workshop to present their products and services to representatives of tourism companies.
During the event, participants had the opportunity to present their offerings directly to potential buyers, identify market needs, and explore business relationships that will allow them to expand their sales.

Paul Steiner, president of CONAMYPE, emphasized that the demand from the tourism sector represents an opportunity for more MSMEs to join the supply chain. He explained that there is potential for growth for local businesses that can meet the requirements of tourism companies.
Among the products and services that entrepreneurs can offer are handicrafts, decorative items, manufactured goods, and other national services that contribute to enriching the visitor experience and reflecting salvadoran culture.
Alejandra Durán, executive director of the Corporación Salvadoreña de Turismo (Corsatur), expressed her hope that the contacts established during these activities will become lasting business partnerships. She also emphasized the importance of continuing to develop events that connect tourism with other productive sectors.

For micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs), establishing relationships with hotels, restaurants, and other tourism businesses can represent an opportunity to increase their income, expand their client base, and strengthen their production processes. Furthermore, direct contact with buyers allows them to better understand quality standards and market demands.
With these types of initiatives, CONAMYPE and Corsatur aim to ensure that the growth of tourism also generates opportunities for local businesses, fosters job creation, and contributes to the country’s economic development.
