El Salvador presented its investment opportunities in technology and artificial intelligence (AI) to representatives of the Norwegian business sector during a meeting held in Oslo that seeks to strengthen international alliances, attract capital and open spaces for collaboration between companies from both countries.
The activity, called “From Pilot to Deployment: A Norway–El Salvador Tech Dialogue”, was organized by the Embassy of El Salvador in Norway, in coordination with the Oslo Chamber of Commerce (OCC) and the technology company Antire AS. The meeting brought together representatives of strategic sectors interested in learning about Salvadoran technological capabilities and the conditions for developing new investment projects.
During the day, the executive director of the Agencia Nacional de Inteligencia Artificial (ANIA), Lídice Nahomi González, presented the national artificial intelligence strategy, the regulatory framework and the incentives available for technological investments. He also presented the country’s infrastructure capabilities and implementation experiences of these tools in areas such as education, health and public services.

The presentation made it possible to publicize the conditions that El Salvador seeks to offer to international companies interested in developing technological solutions, establishing operations or expanding their projects. Among the opportunities addressed were collaboration in artificial intelligence, digital transformation and the development of innovation initiatives.
The meeting included Norwegian representatives linked to artificial intelligence, software development, energy, maritime transport, international services, strategic consulting, financing and institutional cooperation. These sectors learned about the country’s technological advances and the possibilities of establishing commercial alliances and joint projects.
Under the concept “Small States, Big Systems”, the activity addressed how smaller economies can take advantage of innovation, institutional agility and international cooperation to develop technological solutions and generate new business opportunities.

Antire AS CEO Kåre Søyland explained the challenges companies face when moving artificial intelligence projects from a pilot phase to commercial implementation. Likewise, the ambassador of El Salvador in Norway, Claudia Beltrán, highlighted the economic and technological transformation of the country and the conditions it seeks to consolidate to attract investment and establish new business alliances.
Among the main results of the meeting were the strengthening of institutional and commercial relations, the positioning of El Salvador as a technological investment destination and the continuity of dialogue with potential Norwegian partners. With this first event, the country seeks to expand its ties with Norway’s business ecosystem and generate investment and cooperation opportunities in artificial intelligence, software development and digital transformation.
