The Ministerio de Agricultura y Ganadería (MAG) opened a new agricultural market in the district of Atiquizaya, in the department of Ahuachapán Norte, as part of the government’s strategy to strengthen the economy of salvadoran families. This initiative seeks to offer fresh, quality products at affordable prices, reducing spending on essential foods and directly benefiting household budgets.

Located at the end of Avenida 5 de Noviembre Sur, next to the former cultural center, the agricultural market is open daily from 6:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. In this space, residents can find a wide variety of seasonal fruits, vegetables, dairy products, and grains.
The opening of this new direct-to-consumer outlet has been enthusiastically received by the population, as it eliminates intermediaries and allows for more competitive prices. Residents of the area expressed their satisfaction and gratitude, highlighting that this alternative allows them to save money and access fresh food without having to travel long distances.

This is the third agricultural market that the Government has opened in the department of Ahuachapán, which demonstrates a sustained effort to decentralize access to basic products at affordable prices. Furthermore, the measure also supports small producers, who find in these spaces an opportunity to market their crops fairly and directly.
With actions like this, the Government reaffirms its commitment to food security and the economic well-being of the population, helping to mitigate the impact of inflation and boost the local economy by strengthening the agricultural sector and responsible consumption.
