The Asociación Salvadoreña de Industriales (ASI) held the 9th edition of the Foro de Liderazgo Femenino, under the theme “Breaking Limits, Creating the Future.” This event was conceived with the purpose of strengthening the analytical and leadership skills of women in the business world, bringing together industrial leaders, government authorities, union representatives, business owners, managers, executives, and officials.

The central objective was to promote the empowerment and visibility of those women who drive the economic, social, and business development of El Salvador.

Over the years, ASI has consistently worked to train salvadoran women, strengthening their professional skills and enhancing their capacity to innovate, break boundaries, challenge paradigms, and open new opportunities for future generations. This work is especially relevant considering that 41% of the industry’s human talent is made up of women, a fact that highlights the importance of the training and development programs implemented by the Association.

According to the most recent report from the Encuesta de Hogares para Propósitos Múltiples, more than 800,000 households in El Salvador are headed by women, demonstrating their fundamental role in the national economy. Their participation is particularly significant in sectors such as textiles and clothing, food, and pharmaceuticals, which are positioned as the main generators of female employment and drivers of the country’s productive development.

The event was inaugurated by Carmen Aída de Meardi, first vice president of the ASI, who highlighted the key role of women in building a more competitive and equitable industry.
