The Salvadoran Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced a renewed push to attract investment and strengthen trade relations between El Salvador and Bolivia, following an event organized by the Salvadoran embassy in the South American country.
The meeting, organized in conjunction with the El Alto Chamber of Industry, Commerce, and Services, brought together more than 80 Bolivian businesspeople from key sectors such as construction, food, beverages, finance, pharmaceuticals, and manufacturing, with the goal of generating investment and business opportunities between the two nations.
During the event, the Salvadoran ambassador to Bolivia, Ana Rivas, highlighted that El Salvador is currently positioning itself as an attractive destination for foreign investment, thanks to the conditions created in recent years regarding security, the business climate, and trade facilitation.

According to the diplomat, these advances are a result of the policies implemented by the government of President Nayib Bukele, which have contributed to transforming the country’s economic environment and improving its international image. In this regard, he emphasized that El Salvador’s legal stability, incentives for investors, and strategic location in the region make it a key hub for business development projects.
As part of the event, a direct dialogue was held between salvadoran and bolivian businesspeople, aimed at identifying concrete opportunities for cooperation, establishing trade alliances, and exploring investment initiatives in various productive sectors. According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, this type of interaction seeks to facilitate the exchange of experiences and promote the internationalization of companies, especially those based in the city of El Alto.
The academic sector’s interest in strengthening bilateral ties was also highlighted. Representatives from the Universidad San Francisco de Asís, located in El Alto, expressed their willingness to promote joint projects and institutional cooperation, which could translate into additional opportunities for economic development and talent development.

The Foreign Ministry indicated that these types of initiatives are part of a broader strategy aimed at positioning El Salvador as a reliable partner in the region, actively promoting the attraction of foreign investment and strengthening economic relations with Latin American countries.
This rapprochement with Bolivia represents an important step in diversifying markets and generating new opportunities for the salvadoran business sector, consolidating the country as a competitive destination for investment and international trade.
