The salvadoran coffee shop Piccola Café opened its second branch in the Historic Center of San Salvador with an investment of approximately US$105,000 and the creation of 15 direct jobs for young salvadorans, many of whom are experiencing their first job. In addition, the project has generated more than 25 indirect jobs through partnerships with local entrepreneurs and suppliers.
The new establishment is located in the capital district of San Salvador Centro and is part of the growth of this 100% salvadoran brand, which was founded in 2021 and has established itself thanks to its focus on specialty coffee, breakfasts, brunches, and desserts in an atmosphere characterized by its pink decor and pet-friendly spaces.
During the opening, Adriana Larín, director of the Autoridad del Centro Histórico de San Salvador, highlighted that the opening of new businesses in the Historic Center reflects the economic and commercial growth the area is experiencing.

“It fills us with joy to see these dreams come true. This was once one of the most dangerous areas in the country, and now Piccola Café is bringing a touch of pink to it, with specialty coffee, one of El Salvador’s most iconic products”, the official said.
Larín also said that these types of investments contribute not only to the physical and architectural restoration of the Historic Center, but also to generating income and job opportunities for salvadoran families.
“This space adds to the economic revitalization of the Historic Center, allowing more families to benefit from access to formal employment”, she affirmed.
Piccola Café’s owner, María José Jiménez, explained that the project also championed national talent, as all the paintings and artistic elements in the café were crafted by salvadoran artisans through the Cámara Salvadoreña de Artesanos (CASART).

She also emphasized that the opening of this branch represents the fulfillment of one of the brand’s founding objectives: to establish themselves in the Historic Center of San Salvador.
With this new branch, Piccola Café expands its presence in the salvadoran market while continuing its commitment to job creation, supporting local suppliers, and boosting the economy of the capital city.
