Salvadoran singer Mario Antonio Rivera, known artistically as Marito Rivera, received recognition for his 55-year musical career and his contribution to the development of culture and art in El Salvador.
The award was presented during a ceremony led by Vice President Félix Ulloa and Representative Alexia Rivas, who highlighted the singer’s artistic legacy and his contribution to promoting salvadoran music both within and outside the country.

In that context, he recalled the actions that have been promoted to support artists and workers in the cultural sector, as well as the opening of spaces dedicated to promoting national talent and disseminating artistic expressions.
Representative Alexia Rivas emphasized the importance of continuing to support salvadoran culture and acknowledged the role that artists play in preserving the country’s traditions and cultural expressions.
During the meeting, Marito Rivera expressed his gratitude for the recognition he received and his satisfaction at having dedicated more than five decades to music. The artist noted that throughout his career he has had the opportunity to perform on various national and international stages, bringing salvadoran music to diverse audiences.
With a 55-year career, Marito Rivera has established himself as one of the most recognized figures in salvadoran popular music, becoming a role model for new generations of artists and a symbol of national culture.
