The Government of El Salvador continues to advance its economic diplomacy strategy to open new opportunities for investment, trade, and tourism in international markets. As part of these efforts, the salvadoran diplomatic mission in Saudi Arabia organized the event «El Salvador, café de mi tierra natal», an initiative focused on promoting salvadoran coffee as a gateway to strengthening economic relations between the two countries.
The event brought together members of the diplomatic corps, Saudi government officials, businesspeople, representatives of cultural institutions, and members of the media, who experienced the quality of Salvadoran coffee firsthand through samples and tastings.
The salvadoran Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Ricardo Cucalón, explained that the event sought to capitalize on the growing interest in specialty coffee and international tourism in that country, positioning El Salvador not only as a producer of high-quality coffee but also as a destination with potential for trade, investment, and the development of new businesses.

According to the diplomat, these types of meetings create opportunities for engagement with key players in the Saudi public and private sectors to identify opportunities for economic cooperation and establish alliances that contribute to the growth of bilateral trade.
Cucalón emphasized that, in addition to promoting one of the country’s main export products, the event strengthened El Salvador’s position as a destination with a competitive offering for investment and tourism, while also facilitating contacts with the potential to boost business and future commercial initiatives.

Saudi Arabia represents a strategic market within the Middle East region, so strengthening economic relations opens the possibility of diversifying export destinations for Salvadoran products, attracting investment, and generating new opportunities for companies interested in expanding their international presence.
With these types of actions, the Government seeks to consolidate economic diplomacy as a tool to promote foreign investment, expand trade ties, and position salvadoran exports in markets with high growth potential.
