Following the cooperation agreement established between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Asociación Salvadoreña de Hoteles (ASH), to benefit returned migrants or those at risk of migrating, the third fair was recently held to bring job opportunities in the tourism sector.

During this event, participants were also provided with information on services for the care and reintegration of returnees in San Salvador.

Thus, applicants applied for various job opportunities in areas such as: sales executives, security personnel, receptionists, receptionists, accounting assistants, multipurpose personnel, maintenance, waiters, baristas, pastry chefs, administrative managers, cooks, and chefs.

In this space, the head of the Department of Attention to Migrant People of the Foreign Ministry, Wilber Alfaro, said that this strategy, implemented nationwide, seeks to bring employment opportunities to the population returning to the country, and those young people at risk of migrating in an irregular manner.

The executive director of ASH, Morena Torres, highlighted the commitment and willingness of the Association to support the development of opportunities for the returning migrant population in general.

The applicant to the selection process, Valeria García, thanked both institutions for the effort they are making to facilitate employment options for those who have returned to El Salvador.

The Foreign Ministry also provided information on the “Transforming Lives Program”, an initiative that offers a series of services such as access to seed capital, training, education, and certification of technical skills.
