The President of the Republic, Nayib Bukele, announced on his twitter account that all mayors' offices in the country will be delivering the free birth certificate.

Also, the mayor of San Salvador, Mario Durán, indicated in a press release, that the opening hours for the mayor's office will be extended during the holiday period in august and also on saturdays and sundays, in the six districts of the capital, as well as in the Metrocentro branch and central office of the municipality.

In order to provide greater coverage for the delivery of birth certificates and for people to vaccinate their children, the municipalities also call on people who carry out the procedure to comply with all biosecurity measures, for greater prevention of Covid-19 infection.
