The minister of Housing of El Salvador, Michelle Sol, announced that the Ministry of Housing is coordinating future projects in conjunction with the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) and the Cámara Salvadoreña de la Industria de la Construcción (CASALCO). The collaboration seeks to improve the Housing System through an articulated intervention between the public and private sectors, with the objective of developing housing projects in different areas of the country.
During the meeting with the IDB delegation, the implementation of plans to execute housing projects in areas such as San Salvador and Antiguo Cuscatlán was discussed. These projects will be designed taking into account the current infrastructure and urbanization needs of these areas.
Michelle Sol highlighted the importance of working jointly with CASALCO, given that the construction industry will play a key role in the execution of the projects. This collaboration will optimize resources and ensure that housing solutions are sustainable and aligned with the country’s demands.
The IDB visit also includes a key component of information gathering using advanced technology, which will provide accurate data for project planning. The minister pointed out that this technical process is essential to ensure the proper execution and supervision of housing projects.
The joint work between the Ministry of Housing, the IDB and CASALCO promises to boost the development of housing projects, with a comprehensive approach that involves both technological innovation and the technical expertise of the construction sector.
