During 2023, the airline maintained an average punctuality rate of 85.73% for the more than 213 thousand flights measured by Cirium, in its network of 75 destinations in 25 countries in the Americas and Europe.

This is the first time that a colombian airline is positioned as the most punctual in the world, leading the global ranking ahead of other airlines such as Qatar Airways, Delta Air Lines, Latam and Airlines and American Airlines.

Avianca managed to consolidate its position as leader in punctuality in 2023, after occupying the sixth position in Cirium's global ranking in 2022, second place is occupied by Azul Airlines with a rate of 85.51%, followed by Qatar Airways with a punctuality rate of 85.11%.

Avianca achieved this result as part of its business model transformation and after implementing several improvements plans such as: focus on real-time operational indicators, collaborative network design, improved control center capabilities and better coordination between teams.

It should be noted that this result was achieved in a year in which Avianca increased its number of routes, from 129 in 2022 to 147 in 2023, closing the year with close to 32.3 million passengers transported.
