Revenues from coffee exports from El Salvador rose 21.1% in the first two months of the 2023-2024 cycle, according to figures from the Instituto Salvadoreño del Café (ISC).

Official data indicate that export revenues from the 2023-2024 harvest totaled more than US$7.93 million, compared to US$6.54 million for the same period of the 2022-2023 harvest.

Exports in october 2023, when the current 2023-2024 Salvadoran coffee cycle began, managed to maintain the positive balance, compared to the same month of the previous harvest, the value of exports rose 43.1%, from US$4.04 million to US$7.58 million.

It should be noted that the coffee cycle in El Salvador begins in october of each year and ends in september of the following year, which means that the current cycle will end in september 2024. Coffee is El Salvador's main agricultural export product, which is why the increase in export figures greatly benefits the coffee industry.
