Bank deposits in El Salvador reached US$17,895.9 million in april 2024

According to the report of the Asociación Bancaria Salvadoreña (ABANSA), deposits reached more than US$17,895.9 million for the month of april 2024. This represents an increase of 6.1%, equivalent to US$1,022.7 million more than in april 2023.

In addition, it was recorded that in april 2023 the total amount of deposits was US$16,873.3 million. Likewise, in this segment, time deposits grew by 7.7% reaching US$6,444.1 million.

Also, among the largest deposit balances, Banco Agrícola ranked first with US$4,578.3 million, Banco Cuscatlan ranked second with US$3,102.0 million, and BAC Credomatic ranked third with US$2,624.8 million.

In the lowest positions is ABANK with a total deposit of US$132 million, followed by Citibank N.A. with US$180.1 million, and second to last is Banco de Fomento Agropecuario with an amount of US$355 million.

The data provided shows that the total amount of deposits among salvadoran private banks for the month of april 2023 was US$16,873.3 million, having an increase in the period of one year with an amount of US$17,895.9 million.
