Financial Institutions will remain closed on december 25 and january 1 for Christmas Holidays

The Superintendencia del Sistema Financiero (SSF), invites salvadorans to carry out their financial procedures or operations in time, since banks, cooperatives and savings and loan companies will be closed for Christmas holidays on december 25 and january 1, 2022.

In addition, entities that provide cashier and teller services in shopping malls or other similar places, may establish their schedules according to the requirements of the demand for services, and must make them known to the institution and notify the public.

Banco Cuscatlán, Bancoagricola, Banco de América Central (BAC), will close their branches on december 25th and january 1st. They will serve the public on holidays 24 and 31 from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.

Likewise, the Banco Central de Reserva (BCR), states that from friday december 24 to friday december 31. CIEX El Salvador and the services of Monetary Species, Payment Systems (LBTR, and Check Clearing) will remain open on monday 27th, tuesday 28th and wednesday 29th of december.

Also, the SSF points out that it will be mandatory to comply with the provisions of Article 190 of the Labor Code, to close on the main day of the most important holiday of the place, according to custom.
