Written by Evelyn Alas

The Ministerio de Economía (MINEC) is successfully advancing in its purpose of achieving economic development that has a direct impact on salvadoran families and generates a better quality of life.

To this end, it has taken a series of specific actions in economic matters that allow the facilitation of trade, such as streamlining procedures by eliminating the bureaucracy that for decades stopped the progress of El Salvador.

"We see how El Salvador differs from many countries, in the sense that we have a trade facilitation strategy to achieve competitiveness, where 100 measures that we had proposed together with the business sector have already been fulfilled", said the minister of Economy, María Luisa Hayem.

She also mentioned that they also have an investment facilitation plan, and talent creation projects that have benefited thousands of young people and have helped them to open doors to new jobs.

The minister emphasized that trade facilitation generates the necessary conditions to attract the attention of national and foreign investors.

"For a small country like El Salvador, trade facilitation is impressive, with this we generate more competitiveness", said Hayem.

The minister of Economy also explained that the work of the Executive, with private enterprise, has been essential to achieve the objectives and that a proof of this is the data that reflect the effort that has been placed not only in the economic perspective, but in all aspects that influence the lives of salvadorans.

The Central Government, since the beginning of its administration, has placed emphasis on strengthening those areas that are fundamental to obtain development and employment generation, which translate into new opportunities to transform the quality of life of salvadoran families.
