The subsidy policy for the purchase of gas cylinders has allowed the delivery of approximately 20.3 million subsidies to families.

Thanks to these initiatives, users have not perceived the real cost of buying gas cylinders. Since gas is a petroleum derivative, the country has to buy everything it uses abroad and therefore there is no choice but to stick to the prices of international suppliers.

The government's measures make it possible to absorb the price at which it is imported, stabilize it and provide it at a better quantity for the end consumer. Along with households, schools, religious establishments, businesses and small-scale bakeries, among others, are also benefited.

The double subsidy continues to be applied to date: one is targeted, at $8.04 per month, for those who have completed the process of becoming beneficiaries. The other is generalized, for the purchase of each unit.

Thus, prices will remain the same as in previous months. Dirección General de Energía, Hidrocarburos y Minas (DGEHM) announced the prices of the different presentations of drums for february.
