Walmart México and Centroamérica announces leadership changes in the General Management of Walmart C.A.

Cristina Ronski is appointed Senior Vice President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Walmart Central America. After nine years of leadership at Walmart, Flavio Cotini retires from the company.

 

 

Wal-Mart de México, S.A.B. de C.V. announced to its investors and the general public the appointment of Cristina Ronski as Senior Vice President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Walmart Central America, effective january 1, 2024.

Cristina Ronski, currently responsible for the Health and Wellness Tribe for Walmart de México, joined the company in 2019 as Vice President of Procurement (CMO) for Walmart Central America, distinguishing herself for her strategic capabilities and leadership in driving the formation of high-performance teams, as well as her focus on accelerating the omnichannel strategy and providing comprehensive healthcare solutions for our customers.

Cristina has a solid track record of more than 27 years of experience in international consumer, retail and pharmaceutical companies in the United States, Asia, the Caribbean and Latin America. Prior to joining Walmart, Cristina led the Japan, Australia, New Zealand and emerging markets region for Abbott Nutrition and previously held various leadership and Regional General Management positions for S.C. Johnson and Kimberly Clark in the United States, Puerto Rico, Malaysia and Singapore, being responsible for operations in 20 countries.

Flavio Cotini, current CEO of Walmart Central America, has made the decision to retire from the organization to begin a new chapter of life, after more than nine years of leadership and transformation at Walmart, leaving an invaluable impact on all our associates, customers and the business.

Flavio has had a successful career of more than 25 years in multinational consumer products companies. At Walmart he began his career in 2014, in Brazil, as Senior Vice President of Finance, standing out for his leadership, extraordinary results and for driving the financial transformation of the business.

In 2016, he was appointed President and CEO for the same market, leading different strategic initiatives in the region. In 2019, he served as Senior Vice President of Finance for Walmart International, based in Bentonville, Arkansas, and at the end of 2019, he was named CEO of Walmart Central America.

During his tenure in Central America, Flavio led the transformation of our business, with a holistic and human approach, focused on our customers, with an end-to-end vision, driving talent and fostering a collaborative culture across the region.

Cristina and Flavio will begin a transition process, and as of january 1, 2024, Cristina will assume the new role, subject to the corresponding immigration approvals.
