The Ministry of Housing, led by Minister Michelle Sol, has managed to recover more than 9,000 homes that had been usurped by gangs in different parts of the country. As announced, this action has required an investment of over $115 million, as part of the security strategies promoted by President Nayib Bukele under the Plan Control Territorial.
During a radio interview, Minister Sol highlighted that these homes, previously in the hands of criminal structures, have been recovered with the objective of offering housing alternatives to salvadoran families. This effort reflects the government’s commitment to restore security and order in vulnerable communities.
The recovered homes have not only been cleaned up, but are already being marketed through the Ministry of Housing, allowing salvadoran families to acquire safe and dignified properties. These actions seek to promote social integration and restore hope to those who have been affected by violence and displacement.
The Territorial Control Plan has not only achieved results in terms of security, but has also had a positive impact on housing. The recovery of these homes represents a significant step towards the reconstruction of the social fabric in areas previously dominated by insecurity.
Minister Sol affirmed that this is only the beginning of a series of projects that seek to prioritize the social interest of salvadoran families, assuring that the Government will continue working on integral strategies to guarantee the wellbeing of the population and strengthen access to decent housing.
