The Ministry of Economy announced the launch of the second edition of the program that will allow young salvadorans to sell their services through digital platforms at a distance, E-Lancers, which was carried out with the support of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB).

According to Minister María Luisa Hayem, El Salvador has positioned itself at the forefront of technological and financial innovation with the adoption of Bitcoin. The attention of companies, investors, entrepreneurs and other players in the digital ecosystem has been focused on the salvadoran population.

MINEC highlights that in the 2020 edition of the program, 100 people participated and managed to export their services to countries such as Germany, Australia, Canada, the United States and Israel. This time they opened the opportunity for 350 young people to train for 12 weeks.

Companies interested in investing in the country need to access and hire digital and technological profiles, to open operations and, in some cases, to establish from El Salvador their hub for Central and Latin America.

E-lancers is a solution provided by the Central Government, to open export opportunities for digital services and employment from El Salvador, to young salvadoran talent. We believe in the potential of our people.

Hayem said that by 2025, more than 100 million new jobs will be created in the areas of design and creative services; web, mobile and software development; and sales and marketing.
