500 job vacancies to be filled by people with disabilities

The minister of Labor, Rolando Castro, explained through his twitter account that today more than 500 vacancies will be available to place in the labor market people with disabilities who will sign contracts with various companies.

Also, the head of the Ministry of Labor, Rolando Castro, explained that thanks to this program, salvadorans will be able to help their families with a job that will change their lives by receiving their own income and contributing to the national economy.

Rolando Castro assured that, with this insertion program, the Special Law for the Inclusion of Persons with Disabilities, which since january of last year requires companies in its article 63 that, for every 20 workers, the company must hire a person with a disability. "The law must be applied to all, evenly, institutional and private companies".

The minister of Labor assured that 100% of the people who come and take part in this program are hired.

To implement the program, the government entity has massively inspected dozens of companies in the country to ensure compliance with the Special Law for the Inclusion of Persons with Disabilities, incorporating personnel with disabilities as required by law.

According to El Salvador's labor laws, private and public companies are obliged to include one person with disabilities for every 20 they hire, in order to contribute to the welfare of this segment of the population, which in previous governments was excluded from improving their economic and social welfare.

El Salvador maintains the Labor Migration Program with the United States, since 2019 and since june last year with Canada, where there are already many compatriots working in both countries.
