The children’s and youth soccer tournament that reaches every corner of Central American countries is about to crown its champions.
With passion, effort and dreams of glory, this year Guatemala City becomes the stage for the great international final of the Super Liga Claro 2024, the children’s and youth soccer tournament that unites Central America, which will take place from December 6 to 8.
Since its inception in 2013, this championship has been a hotbed of talent and a platform for young people from different communities. In this edition, 20 teams of various ages represent El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Guatemala, the host country.
The tournament includes Under 11/12 categories in futsal (fut 5), both male and female, and, for the first time, incorporates the Under 16/17 category in fut 7, providing greater scope and opportunities for players.
Today, with the official delivery of uniforms and sports equipment, the qualifying matches began. In the course of the championship, the teams will seek to win the trophy that symbolizes their effort and dedication in the most beloved sport in the region; and with this act, the great international final of the Claro Super League was inaugurated.
MORE THAN A TOURNAMENT, STORIES THAT INSPIRE
The Super Liga Claro 2024 not only promotes sports competition, it also transforms lives. Among the most moving stories are those of children who play for the first time on a federated court or those who received their first pair of shoes thanks to the support of the tournament.
The initiative, which is open for registration free of charge, is aimed at teams from neighborhoods, neighborhoods, schools, churches and clubs. Its purpose is clear: to foster unity, promote healthy fun and discover new talent for the major leagues of regional soccer.
With each match, the tournament reinforces its position as a premier event that not only connects Central American countries, but also nurtures the dreams of future soccer stars.
