The Government of El Salvador reaffirms its commitment to continue promoting activities and projects that encourage domestic tourism, strengthen the local economy and highlight the cultural and natural diversity that characterizes the country.

The president of the Instituto Salvadoreño de Turismo (ISTU), Eny Aguiñada, assured that throughout this 2023, more than 14 thousand people have enjoyed the service of the Buses Alegres, an initiative that has taken salvadoran families to explore the various attractions and beauties of the country.

"We have exceeded the number this year, more than 14,000 people have made use of the Buses Alegres throughout the 2023 tour", said the official, who noted that this service is provided on a first come, first served basis starting at 6:30 in the morning. The meeting point is in front of the Hula Hula market, in the Historic Center of San Salvador.

According to the official, tomorrow will be the starting signal for the Buses Alegres, which have in their schedule departures to Los Chorros Recreational Park, Sihuatehuacán Recreational Park and Altos de La Cueva Recreational Park.

"Through our social networks we have made known the entire billboard from january 28 to january 1", informed the official, who added that prices range between $4 and $9, depending on the tourist destination chosen by salvadorans.

The head of the ISTU called on the population to enter the website https://elsalvador.travel, where all tourist sites, both private and public, are located, so that people know where to eat, where to stay, what to do during their stay and how to contact certified guides.

The Buses Alegres initiative is part of the Government of El Salvador's ongoing efforts to boost domestic tourism, which generates jobs and promotes economic development. The participation of salvadorans has been fundamental to the success of this initiative, which is why this service will continue to be implemented.
