The Government of President Nayib Bukele through the Dirección de Obras Municipales delivered this weekend a new municipal cemetery to the inhabitants of the district of Izalco, in East Sonsonate.

This work requested by the municipality will allow the inhabitants of this place in the west of the country to give a dignified burial to their loved ones in adequate and safe facilities.




The property, which has an area of about 2,250 square meters, located on the outskirts of this colonial city, has 850 niches and a parking area.
It also has a guardhouse, an administrative office, a chapel, a stretch of road with lighting, an electrical room, restrooms, as well as ramps and sidewalks that facilitate access to different spaces. The DOM crews also built rainwater drains, gutters and other hydraulic works that prevent flooding in the area. There is also a perimeter fence and green areas.







This is the second work of this type built by the DOM nationwide. The first one was delivered three weeks ago to the inhabitants of the district of San Martín in San Salvador East, while another work is progressing in San Bartolomé Perulapía, in Cuscatlán Norte.
In Izalco, the DOM is also advancing in the construction of two schools, one in the canton of Cuntán and the other in the school center Jorge Lardé, in the canton of Las Higueras; 2 of the 8 educational centers in execution at departmental level, where 3 have been delivered.
Among other projects, also in Cuisnahuat, a marketplace and a tourist plaza have been delivered in Santa Isabel Ishuatán. In addition, the historic centers of Juayúa and Salcoatitán were rehabilitated, which has boosted commerce, the economy and tourism.
