
El Salvador is consolidating its position as an emerging destination for the wedding and high-end events industry, following the conclusion of the Beloved Wedding Summit 2026, held wednesday in San Salvador. The summit brought together more than 100 international wedding planners and professionals from across Latin America.
For several days, attendees toured different parts of the country to experience firsthand the tourism offerings, infrastructure, and natural and urban landscapes that position El Salvador as a competitive option in the wedding market. Among the destinations visited were beaches, mountainous regions, and revitalized urban spaces such as the Historic Center of San Salvador.
The president of the Instituto Salvadoreño de Turismo, Eny Aguiñada, emphasized that this meeting showcased the diverse landscapes the country offers, as well as the strengthening of the tourism sector. She also highlighted that the climate of security has been key to attracting international events of this kind.

“The country has hosted more than 100 of the best wedding planners in Latin America, who have been able to confirm the optimal conditions for holding weddings in various settings”, said Aguiñada, highlighting El Salvador’s potential in event tourism.
Adriana Larín, director of the Autoridad del Centro Histórico Autoridad del Centro Histórico de San Salvador, highlighted the tour of emblematic spaces such as plazas, heritage streets, and the National Palace. She also mentioned that the Historic Center has already been the setting for wedding celebrations in churches such as El Rosario and El Calvario.

Larín noted that the visitors were able to experience the country’s safe, orderly, and hospitable atmosphere, factors that strengthen El Salvador’s image as an ideal destination for experiences, investment, and special events.
The salvadoran government reiterated that security policies have opened new economic opportunities, boosting wedding tourism as a growing segment that contributes to investment and stimulates the national economy.
