With the goal of providing new growth opportunities for micro and small enterprises (MSEs), the Comisión Nacional de la Micro y Pequeña Empresa (CONAMYPE), in coordination with FANTEL and the Centro de Desarrollo para la Micro y Pequeña Empresa (CDMYPE) at the Universidad de Sonsonate, organized the forum “Exporta SV: International Trade in Action: Exporting and Importing Successfully,” aimed at entrepreneurs and business owners in the western region of the country.
The event was designed to enhance MSEs’ knowledge of international trade by providing practical tools to help them start or expand their export and import operations, access new markets, and improve the competitiveness of their businesses.

During the event, participants received information on the main requirements and procedures necessary for successful exporting and importing. In addition, they learned about the opportunities offered by foreign trade to diversify their products and expand their growth potential both regionally and internationally.
Specialists from institutions involved in foreign trade gave presentations on key topics, including export and import registration, compliance with tax obligations, sanitary, phytosanitary, and animal health regulations, customs procedures, international logistics, and strategies for business internationalization.

As part of the forum, various information booths were also set up where attendees could receive personalized advice from participating institutions, clarify questions about the necessary procedures, and learn about the support services available to facilitate their entry into international markets.
CONAMYPE emphasized that these types of initiatives are part of the “Exporta SV” strategy, through which it seeks to strengthen the capacities of Salvadoran micro and small enterprises (MYPE) via training opportunities, institutional coordination, and technical support. The institution noted that these actions help generate greater opportunities for business growth, boost the sector’s competitiveness, and promote the country’s economic development.
