The Proyecto Reforma 150 is joining the urban transformation process of the San Salvador Metropolitan Area with an investment of US$38 million and the creation of 1,100 new jobs during its construction phase, reported Luis Rodríguez, executive director of COAMSS/OPAMSS.
The initiative involves developing a mixed-use urban space aimed at expanding service offerings and creating new business opportunities in an area considered strategic within the San Salvador Metropolitan Area. Such projects combine various activities and services within a single setting, helping to revitalize the use of urban spaces.
Rodríguez highlighted that this investment is taking place against a backdrop of improved conditions for new project development. He noted that strengthened public security, combined with expanded services and the execution of public works, has helped create a favorable climate for investment.

The official also linked this trend to the performance of the construction sector. According to data cited by Rodríguez, the construction sector recorded year-on-year growth of 10.7% as of june 2026, establishing itself as a key driver of economic activity.
The execution of Reforma 150 will also impact the labor market, given the 1,100 jobs expected during construction. Beyond the employment generated directly by the project itself, such investments can involve companies supplying materials, services, and other activities related to the construction process.
The project thus joins the momentum of real estate investment and urban development seeking to leverage strategic areas of the capital to expand the supply of spaces for services and business. In this context, the US$38 million investment represents the developers’ commitment to a mixed-use project aligned with the city’s evolving needs.

Rodríguez also emphasized the importance of maintaining relationships with reliable partners to continue attracting capital and developing projects. Its approach positions confidence as a key factor alongside investment conditions and growth in sectors such as construction.
With Reforma 150, private investment is once again contributing to the transformation of the capital through a project that combines $38 million in investment, job creation, and new spaces for services and businessesall at a time when the construction sector is maintaining double-digit year-on-year growth.
