1. Our national electric system was operating normally and interconnected with the Regional Electric System (SER), supplying a demand of 870 MW.
2. The regional event that caused the disturbance in our system was originated by a failure in the Honduran electrical system, which caused the activation of the protection schemes designed to maintain the stability of the SER, operating from stage I to IV with the disconnection of 161 MW of load due to low frequency in El Salvador.
3. As part of the operation of the system's protection schemes, the interconnection lines with Guatemala and Honduras were opened due to low frequency, leaving El Salvador isolated from the SER and interrupting the net export of 65 MW from El Salvador.
4. As the national system was left operating in isolation, a state of emergency was declared and the process of gradual load recovery was initiated to safeguard its stability.
5. At 10:24 hours, the national system recovered the totality of the load lost during the regional event and the state of emergency was lifted, and at 10:46 hours, the electrical system of El Salvador was again interconnected with Guatemala.
6. At 11:02 a.m., the interconnection with Honduras was closed, integrating the SER.
