His Highness Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of the State of Qatar arrived in El Salvador

This afternoon His Highness Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of the State of Qatar arrived to El Salvador on a state visit and will meet with the President of the Republic, Nayib Bukele, tomorrow wednesday at the Presidential House, in San Salvador.

During the meeting, both dignitaries will address issues of the bilateral agenda, as well as the strengthening of relations between the two nations.

The Emir of the State of Qatar arrived at the International Airport of El Salvador, San Oscar Arnulfo Romero y Galdámez, in a Boeing 747-800, where he was received with honors by the Vice President of the Republic, Félix Ulloa.

The Emir began this tuesday an official tour of two countries, Guyana and El Salvador; in the morning he was in Guyana where he was received by the Guyanese Prime Minister, Mark Phillips, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Hugh Todd, among other officials.

During the visit to El Salvador, the Emir will exchange views on various regional and international issues of common interest with President Nayib Bukele. "During these visits, several agreements and memorandums of understanding will also be signed in various areas of cooperation. His Highness the Emir will be accompanied by an official delegation," Qatar News Agency highlighted. Both countries have strengthened ties of friendship by promoting projects and agreements.

El Salvador maintains an embassy and consulate in Qatar, concurrent for Kuwait, Sultanate of Oman, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and Palestine. The Salvadoran government with the support of Qatar has promoted actions in the cultural, educational, health, early childhood, among others.
