The Tribunal Supremo Electoral (TSE) reported that it has already begun technical and operational preparations for the 2027 elections, conducting the first internal test of the data transmission system for the Juntas Receptoras de Votos (JRV).
The exercise took place simultaneously in different regions of the country—including the west, center, and east—specifically at polling stations located in Ahuachapán, Chalatenango, San Salvador, and Morazán. With this nationwide coverage, the TSE sought to simulate real-world conditions on election day.

During the test, key aspects of the system were evaluated, such as response times, connectivity, the functioning of technological equipment, operational coordination, and field logistics. The goal was to measure the system’s performance and identify potential improvements ahead of the upcoming official simulations.
As part of the process, a call center was also set up to aid JRV members throughout the day, allowing for real-time responses to inquiries and follow-up on incidents.

The TSE emphasized that this exercise represents a significant improvement over the test conducted in 2023, which was carried out solely from San Salvador, whereas this time it was expanded to several regions of the country to obtain more comprehensive results.
Finally, the institution noted that these technical exercises help strengthen technological systems, optimize processes, and reduce risks, with the aim of ensuring a more efficient and reliable transmission of results ahead of the 2027 elections.
