Tag Airlines to participate in Leaders Forum meeting in Buenos Aires, Argentina

TagAirlines, the flag carrier of Guatemala and the Maya World, announced its participation in the 18th edition of the ALTA AGM & Airline Leaders Forum, to be held october 16-18 in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

This is the flagship event of the Asociación Latinoamericana y del Caribe de Transporte Aéreo (ALTA), which brings together the leaders and decision-makers of the commercial aviation industry in Latin America and the Caribbean.

This year, more than 400 representatives from airlines, suppliers, civil aviation authorities, industry associations and allies will gather to discuss topics such as the policies necessary for the deployment of sustainable aviation fuel production and distribution in the region, new technologies for more efficient operations, best practices, perspectives and future plans for legacy, low cost and regional airlines, operational safety, regulatory harmonization, blockchain and the future of NFTickets, among others.

He said that ALTA maintains a proactive work agenda, which is essential to continue working in the sector, strengthen ties and provide different points of view that make up a more accessible aviation in the region, generating more and better jobs and socioeconomic opportunities for the population in a sustainable and environmentally responsible manner.

In this edition, the event's agenda revolves around the theme of sustainability and growth plans for the industry in the region that is recovering its pre-pandemic passenger numbers the fastest in the world.

The panel of speakers includes CEOs of legacy, low cost and regional airlines, fuel, technology and operations experts from the Americas, Europe and the Caribbean, regulators, leaders of major industry organizations.

Julio Gamero, CEO of Tag Airlines, along with other industry leaders will participate as a speaker in a panel highlighting the success story and transformation of TAG, which after the Pandemic, showed its resilience in uncertain times and how through teamwork and innovation not only recovered the levels of passengers since the middle of last year, but now are projected to close 2022 with a growth of more than twice as many passengers compared to last year.

ALTA, led by José Ricardo Botelho is a private association at the service of the airline industry whose objective is to develop safer, more efficient and sustainable aviation in Latin America and the Caribbean.

The main aspects of the company's new era include the addition to the fleet of ATR 72 aircraft, considered the most efficient, environmentally friendly and safest in the market, which will allow the company to continue with its strategy to expand air connectivity in Central America and southern Mexico, while maintaining the best service and comfort for passengers.

Committed to air connectivity in the region, the company currently operates 46 daily flights to 13 destinations in five countries: Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador, Belize and Mexico, with a commercial fleet of 10 aircraft.
