US$0.81 per gallon of diesel rises for this fortnight

The Ministerio de Economía (MINEC), informs salvadorans the new fuel prices that will be in effect from tomorrow april 5 to April 18, 2022, presenting an increase of US$0.81 in diesel and U$0.48 in regular gasoline.

For people who consume super gasoline, there will be an increase of US$0.55 and US$0.52, in the central, western and eastern zones, likewise they will pay a suggested price of US$4.87 and US$4.83 at their preferred gas station.

Drivers who buy regular gasoline will see an increase of US$0.52 and US$0.48, in the central, western and eastern zones, and will also pay between US$4.67 and US$4.63.

As for diesel they will see an increase of US$0.81 and US$0.77 in the central, western and eastern zones, with a suggested price of US$4.95 and US$4.91.

MINEC states that gasolines will continue with a reduction of US$0.28 and diesel of US$0.10 due to the elimination of two taxes. Prices are subject to market variations.

The price of a barrel of West Texas (WTI) crude oil is US$103.10 dollars, while a barrel of Brent crude oil is at US$107.98.
