Written by Coralia Cuellar

The president of the Banco de Fomento Agropecuario (BFA), José Eduardo Aguilar, inaugurates the Banco de Fomento Agropecuario's Information Kiosk in Houston, Texas.

The kiosk will be located in the consular headquarters of El Salvador in that city, a window that will bring its products and services to the diaspora, thanks to the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs that grants the physical spaces to be installed.

During the inauguration ceremony, also participated the Vice Minister of Diaspora and Human Mobility, Cindy Mariella Portal, who stressed the importance of this new service for the 500 thousand salvadorans living in Houston, Texas, one of the communities with more presence in the United States.

More than two million salvadorans live abroad and the vast majority of them live in the United States, being this population the one that with their remittances contribute greatly to the country's economy.

The commitment of the Government of President Nayib Bukele, through the BFA, is to reduce the barriers that limit the financial inclusion of the diaspora, implementing and putting in place strategies that allow people to gradually gain access to responsible and sustainable financial services.

State banking is of vital importance to bring products and services closer to salvadorans who live outside our borders and who contribute to the development of the country from afar, generating jobs and supporting their families.

This information window is in addition to the service points in the United States: Los Angeles, California and Charlotte, North Carolina.

Among the information provided by the Kiosk is the following:
