Forbes Magazine highlighted in one of its recent publications that El Salvador is among the 30 destinations to visit next year, suggested by a renowned travel guide.

This information confirms the recovery of tourism that El Salvador is experiencing.

Forbes Magazine, which took the information published by Lonely Planet Travel Guide, emphasized that "Salvadoran beaches are considered one of the most important destinations for surfers internationally".

The well-known magazine also highlights a photograph of the central park and the church of Suchitoto, a municipality in the department of Cuscatlán, which is very visited by foreign tourists.

The publication emphasizes that El Salvador, the smallest and most populated country in Central America, has wild beaches that have made it one of the best surfing destinations in the world. El Salvador is also home to some of the best surfing areas in Central America, such as Punta Roca, on the Balsam Coast, where movie scenes were filmed, and the beaches of El Sunzal and El Tunco.

According to Forbes, tourists will find in El Salvador an almost untouched tropical paradise, lush uncrowded national parks, volcanic lakes, colonial cities, colorful handicrafts and fine cuisine.

Forbes refers to El Salvador as a comfortable country, which can be easily toured combining colonial towns, natural beauties and archaeological sites. "For example, Suchitoto, a peaceful colonial town next to Lake Suchitlán, less than an hour from the capital" the publication stresses.

It also points out that you don't have to go far to find the Joya de Cerén site, which it calls the "Pompeii of America", where, thanks to the volcanic ashes that covered the old Mayan city, today you can enjoy one of the most interesting archeological sites in Central America.
