AmCham elects New Board of Directors San Salvador

The Cámara Americana de Comercio de El Salvador (AmCham) held its fifty-fifth Ordinary General Assembly of Members, in which the Board of Directors was elected for the period 2023- 2024, assuming as president Dr. F. Armando Arias R., Chairman of the law firm Arias.

Dr. Arias has been a member of the American Chamber of Commerce for more than 25 years, he is a lawyer specialized in Financial Law, Corporate Law, International Trade, among others, and provided important inputs during the negotiation of the Free Trade Agreement with the United States - CAFTA DR and the Association Agreement with the European Union.

AmCham, as a trade association made up of companies with U.S. and salvadoran capital, represents its members before international organizations, the government, the business community and the general public.

Its multi-sectorial composition allows it to cover an integral vision of the different economic sectors such as: energy generation and distribution, financial sector, commerce, tourism, petroleum, pharmaceutical, food and beverages, maritime and air transportation, technology, legal services and audits and call centers/BPOs, among others, in order to guarantee optimal conditions for the future of all salvadorans.

As well as achieving strategic alliances that provide added value in the relationship with its members, being a support, an ally and a partner in the continuous improvement of the business climate in El Salvador, innovating, training and advising our member companies to achieve economic growth at national and international level.

"We will continue working on the fulfillment of AmCham's mission in El Salvador, with the commitment to increase trade relations with the United States of America and with other trading partners that the country has, so that member companies expand their business opportunities", said Dr. Armando Arias.

Dr. Armando Arias is accompanied by Abraham Bichara, as Vice President, José Sarmiento, as Secretary, René Arce, as Treasurer and other representatives of prominent national and North American companies.
